Web DeveloperStarting off as a pension actuary out of college, I grew frustrated using antiquated software and nonsensical valuation rules. I switched over to work as a technical trainer of Java software in a Silicon Valley startup during the dotcom days, riding the wave to stock market success followed by failure. I then tried my hand working as a manager implementing that same software in the IT department of a national bank, before the bank went out of business during the financial collapse. From there I focused on web and mobile development, both freelancing and working in house for development shops.
While my road to becoming a developer was not the usual route, this diverse experience helps me to work with clients small and large, technically astute and green, with budgets small and large.
Outside of work, I am on a quest to find the best fish tacos in San Diego (currently I give the nod to Oscars). Obviously I also like underwater photography and have been fortunate to dive throughout the world.
